BEGINNING ADOBE PHOTOSHOP
If you have good understanding of your camera functions and settings, and basic computer skills, start here. The power of Adobe Photoshop awaits you, along with a myriad of fine art printing processes to bring your photographs to life and make sure they last. Fix exposure problems, retouch and remove unwanted elements, collage multiple images, blend, duplicate, sharpen or blur, and learn how to set up your files as JPEGS, TIFFs, PSDs (and why and when to use each format). Practice on individual computer workstations (PC/Mac). Any version of Adobe Photoshop you have at home or on your laptop will be fine (we recommend 6.0 or above, or Photoshop Elements 2.0 or above) . For detailed class descriptions or if you have questions about which class is right for you, please contact us.
BEGINNING ADOBE PHOTOSHOP 1 DAY CLASS
It's magic. Step into the world of Adobe Photoshop. Work with Image Browser, Image Size, Layers, Levels, Selections, Filters and Effects, the Clone tool, Magic Wand and more. Save, resize, retouch and email or print your photos. This is a hands-on class that starts with Adobe Photoshop Elements to introduce tools available in other current versions of Adobe Photoshop (6.0-CS2). For many amateur or semi-pro photographers Elements 2.0 or 3.0 at under $100 is the perfect software to handle all photographic needs. WWA's four week classes in Adobe Photoshop Elements provide a solid foundation for Intermediate and Advanced classes in Adobe Photoshop CS.
BEGINNING ADOBE PHOTOSHOP 4 WEEKS
This is a hands-on class with assignments each week for practice. You'll start with the basics of Adobe Photoshop Elements version to introduce tools available in ALL versions of Photoshop 6.0-CS2. Don't believe those who say this is a "lite" version that does not offer important functions, it is in fact powerful enough to satisfy the demands of many semi-pro and pro photographers. The basic toolbox is almost identical to 6.0-CS, so you can use our beginning classes to help you decide which version is right for you. You will work with Image Browser, Image Size, Layers, Levels, Selections, Filters and Effects, the Clone tool, Magic Wand and more. Save, resize, retouch and email or print your photos. You'll come away with a solid foundation to be comfortable in either Continuing Adobe Photoshop (more of Elements) or if you have the software, and are ready to commit, you can easily proceed into WWA's Intermediate and Advanced classes in Adobe Photoshop CS.
CONTINUING ADOBE PHOTOSHOP (ELEMENTS VERSION) 4 WEEKS
More magic now you will take control, revisiting the tools that we covered in the beginning classes to learn more of their functions and applications in fine art photography. For those who do not want to jump into Adobe Photoshop CS, this is a thorough exploration of the Elements tools, which for many amateur and semi-pro photographers provide more than enough versatility in image management. If you have questions about which version is right for you, please call us. For continuing classes in advanced versions, please see Ron Landucci’s classes.
