ELLEN YEISER, PHOTOGRAPHER

Ellen Yeiser graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in History and a minor in education. She is a fine art photographer who has exhibited work in Flash Gallery, 910Arts, Center for Fine Arts Photography (Ft Collins), and RULE Gallery. She currently sits on the Board of Working with Artists and is the Volunteer Coordinator at the school.  Ellen shoots for YSPN Sports and runs a portrait studio and retouching business from her home. Her hobbies include ice hockey where she both plays and sits on several boards and bicycling. She has taught High School tennis and ice hockey, and loves sharing her experiences with her students.

BEGINNING CREATIVE DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

If photography is your passion, serious hobby, or new profession, then this class is a perfect foundation covering all the features and functions of your digital camera. Learn shutter speed, aperture and how they effect depth of field. ISO, white balance and composition will also be covered. Practice with camera assignments and critiques each week, using your new skills effectively and creatively. Digital SLRs or other cameras with manual settings are necessary (if you have a doubt as to the features of your camera please feel free to call us). Loaner cameras are available for those who are still researching equipment. Bring your camera and accessories and the manual if you have it

DIGITAL 101 Weekend Course
with Ellen Yeiser Day one and Dave Gaslin Day two.

Digital 101 is the perfect class to get you started on the path to taking great pictures!  This weekend class will teach you basic camera techniques, editing skills, and digital workflow using Adobe Photoshop Elements.  Day one will teach you to use your all of your camera settings including white balance, image size, aperture and shutter control and more. Now learn what to do with them after you’ve shot them! Day two covers basic Adobe Photoshop techniques including image transfer to your computer, cropping, levels and color control. While this is a beginning level photography class, it is important that your camera has manual settings and basic computer skills are required.  You are welcome to bring your own laptop to class.
