 CLASSIC MALE NUDE
The history of the male nude in art informs us of all ranges of cultural and creative perceptions, from godliness and intellectual power to animal strength and beyond. This workshop addresses issues specific to male nude photography as well as thematic and interpretive approaches to shooting. In our studio, you will photograph the “classic” or “formal” male figure, working on lighting that emphasizes body shape, musculature, skin tones, and inherently masculine features. Adding context, you will photograph the “average male”, posed in situations that you’ll create using props and surroundings. The workshop includes discussion of success or failure of the weekend’s results.
