KIM WESTON, FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHER
Son of the late photographic master, Cole Weston, Kim and his wife Gina live in the original home of Kim's grandfather the world famous photographer Edward Weston, built in 1938 at Wildcat Hill in Carmel CA. Kim and Gina offer a wide selection of workshops in and around Carmel. Representing the current generation of this family of photographic masters, Kim learned photography from his father and worked with his uncle Brett for 15 years, assisting, learning all aspects of photography and building darkrooms. He also worked with Cole, participating in workshops that they taught together. Kim often paints his own abstract backdrops, creating a highly personal and dynamic envrironment for many of his most spectacular images of the figure and many other subjects.
