MICHAEL PASTUR, FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHER

Fine art photographer and camera designer, Michael Pastur has been shooting images for over 30 years, and has built or converted over 20 cameras in 10 years. Michael is an avid craftsman who believes in constructing his images from the initial camera design through to the final edit. He has lectured at the University of Denver, CSU-Fort Collins, the Art Institute of Colorado and College of the Canyons (CA). He has built or converted the following cameras: Holga circuit panoramic, Super-wide Polaroid pinhole, 4x5 Super-wide pinhole with rise and fall, plastic element and pinhole bodies with rise and fall for RB67 revolving back, 142 degree roll-film panoramic, and 150 degree paper negative. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema and Photography from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. His work has shown in the Denver area and New York City.

The Marissacam Pinhole Camera
Some might think that the words sophisticated and pinhole are oxymorons but we’re going to prove otherwise! Michael designed and built the Marissacam, a fantastic pinhole camera for paper negative with up to 150° wide angle coverage. In this new workshop for WWA Michael will teach you to construct this sophisticated piece of equipment from scratch, from drawings with his own very precise specifications. Everyone will leave the workshop with an true gem of a pinhole camera, the Marissacam, ready to hit the streets or trails and start taking pictures!
