Steve Simmons
Steve Simmons is the founder and publisher of View Camera magazine and the author of Using the View Camera, a comprehensive book on large format photography, published by Amphoto. Steve has taught workshops in large format and dance photography all over the country and hosts a website devoted to the large format camera and its use. His low tech approach to the camera and its use has helped many people feel more comfortable with the large format camera.

Intro to Large Format

No digital read-outs, no batteries, just images of crystal clear detail and extraordinary depth of field. Friday night discuss cameras, accessories, film choices, meters and metering. Topics will include using strobe, tungsten and daylight with color and black & white films, finding models, determining exposure, camera formats and lenses, using Polaroid, and collaborating with the model.
