Artists must submit images in TWO ways
-
ONE - Artists will submit professional quality prints for display in FLASH gallery. Prints must be unmatted and unmounted and no larger than 12" on the longest edge. Printing your image with a border is highly recommended. Prints are due in the gallery no later than Sunday, September 26, 6p. Please mark the back of each print with your name and title. Exhibition will open October 1, 2010 from 6-9p.
-
TWO- In addition, a JPEG of the same image(s) are to be supplied to the gallery through email or CD. Images should be sized no larger than 12" on the longest side and should be saved at 300 DPI. Image should be titled with the artist's initials, and a number. For example GC_1.jpg These images will be uploaded to a Flickr.com set where worldwide voting can occur.
Artists will be notified of selections by Saturday, October 16, 2010.
The exhibit ends on Sunday, October 10th and artists must pick up their prints that day by 6p.
Images can be emailed to flash@workingwithartists.org or mailed to or dropped off to WWA, 445 S. Saulsbury St, Main Gallery, Lakewood, CO 80226
You be the judge!
Thirteen images will be selected by the general public through an open voting system. Voting is done on the honor system and voters must limit themselves to 13 of their top selections. Last year, we had over 1500 votes cast!
-
Imagery exhibited in the gallery will be voted on through a ballot method.
-
Additionally, there will be a Flickr.com set for the calendar images submitted. It will allow voting through the online comments section. WWA will handle all uploading of images to this account. Being a part of this Flickr set will help submitting artists gain international exposure and will open up voting to an audience which might not be able to come to the gallery.
Voting will open October 1, 2010 and will close on October 10 at 6pm.
The ballot and online voting will be combined (so only vote in one place!) and the thirteen images which receive the most votes will be included in the calendar. Only one image per artist from among those receiving the highest number of votes will be included in the calendar
Credit will include the artists' name, location or title of image, and a website listing for that artist.
Calendars will be available for purchase beginning on Saturday, November 6, 2010. They will be sold online and at WWA to raise funds for Working with Artists.

By submitting your images you are granting Working with Artists permission to use your image in the 2011 WWA Calendar and any promotional material associated with the calendar. You will retain the copyright of your image.
