KIM WESTON, FINE ARTIST
Son of Cole Weston, Kim and his wife Gina live in Edward Weston's original home built in 1938 at Wildcat Hill in Carmel CA. Kim learned photography from his father and worked with his uncle Brett for 15 years, assisting, learning all aspects of photography and building darkrooms. Kim and Gina offer a number of workshops in and around Carmel. He also works with Cole, participating in workshops that they teach together. OWEN O'MEARA, FINE ARTIST
Owen is a Denver native whose studies in photography have taken him from landscape to the nude, with guidance from artists such as Ruth Bernhard and Brett and Kim Weston. Owen's work has been exhibited in galleries in Seattle WA, Carmel CA, Houston TX, and Denver CO. Owen's major influences have been Bernhard, the Westons, Eikoh Hosoe and Helmut Newton and many others. He is currently represented in Denver by Robischon Gallery. WORKSHOP DETAILS & REQUIREMENTS
PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS
This is an excellent workshop for beginning to advanced photographers who enjoy creating elegant images of the female nude, and who are seeking to refine their composition, lighting and exposures. People nationwide who admire the work of master photographers Kim Weston and Owen O'Meara will learn from their creative approach and printing techniques during this workshop. A magic moment occurs when Kim prints with one of his grandfather's original negatives (not a dupe!) and recreates Edward Weston's exact printing techniques.
